Ticket to Ride Board Game
Premium
Our verdict
Ticket to Ride is one of the easiest strategy games to teach: collect matching train cards, claim routes across North America, and complete secret destination tickets for bonus points. The rules take minutes to learn, turns are quick, and the board stays readable even with five players. Blocking an opponent's route adds a light competitive edge without direct conflict. The main trade-off is luck — a bad draw can stall a plan — but that randomness also keeps the game welcoming for first-time players.
